Here’s a listing of favourite wines. Like I said, I am by no means a sommelier, and so the (brief) language I use to describe what I drink if probably totally wrong and such. Note also that this list will grow over time, as I sample new wines, and attempt to recall others I’ve tried. Comments and tips are most welcome!
Rouges
- Red Bicyclette, Syrah (France): smoky and light. One of my favourite reds.
- House Wine, a mostly-Cab-Sauv blend (USA). Light, flavourful, and pairs well with sharp cheeses by mellowing them out.
Blancs
- Yalumba, Viognier (Australia): dry and fruity. A refreshing white.
- Baron Philippe de Rothschild, Beaujolais (French). Smooth, light and super-dry. An unexpected Christmas-dinner hit.
